Galicia part 1: birds

As beginner birdwatchers, it's amazed to see how many types of birds Galicia has. Just at the backyard of J's garden, everyday many birds passing by. We developed a habit of searching for birds as soon as we got out to the balcony. The book "Collins bird guide" assists us very well in identifying them. Pictures taken (mostly with zoom in camera -> not the best quality though :) ) then search it in the book.Voila!!!. Different birds have different habits which are really interesting to see. Sparrows sometimes rub their body to the soil and turn around, just like cats. Swifts and swallows tend to fly ceaselessly around, like kites. bfly like they loose their balance). While I'm writing this article (at the balcony and with lots of sun) - a Red Robin just perched on a lemon branch, looked around and flew away. Travelling after a year - Impression

It's been more than a year since we have travelled with airplane because of the pandemic. The last time was in Feb 2020 to France for skiing. It felt so strange and uncertain till the last minutes as the flight has been rescheduled 3 times. I wasn't sure if it would be cancelled so already prepared myself to not so disappointed if it was the case. We also had to take PCR tests (cost 100e/person) <72h before the flight - which surprisingly no one checked when we arrived. I didn't even prepare the suitcase till the day the flight...Well, if its not flighting, I wouldn't have to unpack it- I thought. The departure: In the end the flight went on, with stopped over 45mins in Barcelona instead of direct flight. Having to wear mask (NN95) several hours from home to airport, airplane, in the car, till arriving to J, was pretty an experience. Fresh air is treasured. The arrival: So relief as we landed and so warmly welcomed by J parents was a gift fo us. In spain wearing mask...
